FastS: Taylor Green Vortex

The case:

A 3D cube is initialized with the Taylor-Green vortex laminar flow-field at Re=1600 (Mach=0.1):

u=U0*sin(x/L)*cos(y/L)*cos(z/L)
v=-U0*cos(x/L)*sin(y/L)*cos(z/L)
w=0.
p=P0+(RO0*U0*U0/16)*(cos(2*x/L)+cos(2*y/L))*(cos(2*z/L)+2)

CPU times:

The mesh is made here of one single zones varying from 643 to 5123.
FastS runs at ~ 0.22 μs/pts/iter
i.e. for a 5123 cube, an adimensioned run time t*U0/L0=16 requires about 43.8 hours on 12 cores (x86 Xeon processors)
